Lovers & Friends is a grown, intimate R&B experience for people who love real music and real vibes.

This is not a party. It is a curated night of live R&B featuring standout vocalists, The Soulutions Band, and DJ Dru spinning the best 90s and early 2000s R&B. Built for date nights, friend groups, and music lovers who want soul over noise. Black-owned vendors are centered and celebrated, and on-site testing honors National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

Buying a ticket supports live musicians, Black businesses, and a culture-forward experience rooted in intention and excellence.
Partnering or sponsoring means aligning with a trusted, elevated event that values community, wellness, and authentic connection.

Come for the music. Stay for the vibes. Leave with love.
Lovers & Friends Statement

After much consideration, Lovers & Friends has been canceled.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. The truth is simple. Without community support, events like this cannot happen. Ticket sales were nonexistent, and without that support, it becomes irresponsible and unfair to move forward, especially when artists, crew, and partners deserve to be cared for properly.
There’s a real cost to curating intentional, culture-centered spaces. When that cost isn’t met with participation, creators are left carrying the weight financially, mentally, and emotionally. Too often, we see great ideas die not because they lack vision, but because support doesn’t show up when it matters.
Rather than push forward and create stress, debt, or a compromised experience for anyone involved, we chose to stop now.
I still believe Lovers & Friends would have been something special for the culture. And I also believe this moment is worth naming out loud. Support is not just applause. It’s presence, participation, and investment.
