Testimony
Deluxe

Available Now
Testimony Deluxe is more than an expanded album. It is a grounding point. A body of work that honors where the journey began while quietly signaling where it is going next.
Rooted in vulnerability, resilience, and reflection, this special edition of Kindred Williams debut deepens the emotional language of Testimony through reimagined moments and intentional additions. It invites listeners not just to hear the story, but to sit with it, to feel it, and to recognize themselves inside it.
At its core is Numb, a haunting meditation on grief and survival, written in the wake of losing both a close friend and Kindred’s father. The song holds space for sorrow while allowing healing to breathe. The Gospel According to Preston Unplugged strips everything back to voice and spirit, revealing a quiet strength rooted in faith and self-trust. Miss You Most captures longing with restraint and tenderness, offering reflection rather than spectacle, with an instrumental version that allows the music to speak on its own.
Testimony Deluxe stands as a closing chapter to an earlier era and a bridge into what comes next. It reflects an artist learning how to hold complexity, how to honor pain without being consumed by it, and how to move forward with clarity and intention.
This is not just an album to revisit. It is a reference point. A reminder that before evolution, there is truth. Before expansion, there is stillness. And before what’s coming next, there was Testimony.

I definitely couldn’t have done this without these folks. I’m looking forward to working with them again and exploring new collaborations in the future.
Special thanks to Tedde Gibson who has gone from being a mentor growing up to my secret weapon with my music. He's arranged and played on so many songs and will continue to do so in the future.
Special thanks to Qamil SoulDope Wright, the Fairy Godmother of R&B Soul in Columbus. Without her providing opportunities, I never would’ve had the motivation to step out on faith and believe in myself.
Special thanks to Hubby and Mommy for believing in me and encouraging me to keep going.
One of my favorite moments on the album is a track called Character Witness. I included voicemail messages from both of my parents, knowing I wanted to create a track with them so I could have it forever. When I came up with the concept, I knew my father wasn’t going to be with us much longer, but I never imagined he’d be gone just a month or two later. I also couldn’t have foreseen that my friend and fraternity brother Jason—my confidant during this difficult time—would tragically pass just days before my dad. I’m thankful I had a voicemail from him as well. Shoutout to the other loved ones who graced that track. I LOVE YOU.
To my supporters and lovers of R&B and Soul: thank YOU for loving on me and receiving this body of work in such an amazing way.
